THE PRODUCER:

For three generations the family business Vigne & Vini exists, but only since the beginning of this millennium marketed Cosimo Varvaglione the wine in significant quantities into bottles. He recognized the huge potential that lies in the vineyards south of Taranto. The Greeks have grown wine here, and numerous testimonies of Magna Graecia can be admired in this region.

The two main varieties of Apulia, Primitivo and Negroamaro, Signore Varvaglione dares even to far more than just benevolent recognition by international wine experts. "Do you have what it takes to the international elite class," he says. The first award ceremony of the Three glasses of Gambero Rosso for wines of Puglia seems to confirm his assessment.
Correspondingly extensive he has invested in a new winery, how many large wine companies in the North (eg Antinori) also. These investments in modern winemaking technology have since made for significant leaps in quality. See for yourself.
