Bernd Landgraf increasingly focused on viticulture and expanded the vineyards. Since 2001, he assisted in the operation of son Andre, Geisenheim graduate who has taken over. The vineyards are all in Saulheim, about 20 km south-west of Mainz, in the layers hell, Castle Hill and Mount Hood.
The Schlossberg is a protected gently sloping position, the bottom of tertiary marl consists of a limestone layer. Hell is an open, south-facing slope, the soil consists of profound loess, which is interspersed with limestone.
Variety focuses Riesling (35%), the white Blanc and Pinot Noir, is increasing. Since 2004, the vineyards are farmed organically.
