The farm Vallone di Cecione is a small family owned producer situated just a few KM from Panzano in Chianti in the heart of the Black Rooster Chianti Classico area. The
family Anichini, owners of this farm, labor the land located in the prestigious “Conca D’Oro” which means “Golden Bowl” of Panzano. It has been given this name because of its favorable
position and fertile soil. The total area of land owned by Vallone is almost 8 hectors, half of which is used for wine production. The vineyard is at 460 meters above sea level. The
other half is dedicated to the production of Olive oil. This remaining 4 hectors containing 700 olive tress.
The land surrounding the property is dominated by the colonial Villa with a tower which was built in the 14th century. This is the Anichini home. The farm gets its name from “Cecione” from a small area of land between another two farm houses and “Vallone”, an antique name of a field that slopes from the house to the valley. From 2001 Francesco Anichini works full time for the family business. Both parents and son work to make Vallone di Cecione a success. The integration between modern agricultural techniques and traditional winemaking procedures produce an exceptional wine.
