THE PRODUCER:

The terroir Malavieille is located within the Coteaux du Languedoc. Already 250 million years ago the foundation was laid here, which makes very specific and expressive wines thrive today. For this volcanic eruptions were mainly responsible, which enriched the soil with basalt. Founder of Domaine de Malavieille was the family Fulcran. Today, several generations later - the winemaking family operates Bertrand, the Domaine de Malavieille. The great-grandmother of the present owner had to deal with the phylloxera crisis and the destruction of the vineyards in the late 19th century. Rebuilding succeeded and since the family is committed to grow wine in agreement with the country. The Domaine was a few years ago certified by Qualité France, since 2007 working biodynamically according Demeter Standards.
