THE PRODUCER:

The story goes that since the XVII century the pretty and rebellious Donna Marzia fell in love with Enrico, a young man from a humble background, whom she had met during one of her solitary horse ride...
The girl unwillingly put up with the impositions and the strict discipline arising from her rank preferring the young farmer's naturalness and warmth. The two lovers used to meet near a dry well, at the border of the estate. A place they turned into an oasis of happiness where they could freely live their love. One day the girl's father caught them embracing each other under the midday sun. From that moment he attempted by every possible means to hinder the two lovers up to Enrico's ousting. Donna Marzia, distraught by the fallen love, went crying to the well.
It is told that at dawn there was only her silk hankie left on the porous stone.
From then on that estate was named Donna Marzia and the well filled with a clear and crystalline water that made the fields fertile and flourishing.
Nowadays the pure and genuine Donna Marzia wines keep the memory of the story of the two lovers' alive.
