THE PRODUCER:

We, John and Katrin Ernst perform together with their parents Gisela and Hans-Josef, the winery in the 4th generation.
John directs together with his father Hans-Josef indoor and outdoor operation. However, his main focus, he focused on the development of the wines, as in the wine cellar, he is very familiar. As a trained wine Civil Engineering (FH Geisenheim) he has his goal - the creation of traditional wines with contemporary modern influences constantly in mind. Its high quality standards are reflected in the numerous awards and honors.
Katrin joins forces with mother Gisela wine sales. As a trained banker and graduate in Business Law experience, knowledge and own ideas are introduced with abundant energy in the winery.
Our estate is located in Eltville, the oldest town in the Rheingau - one of the oldest wine growing regions in Germany. Already in the 12th century Benedictine and Cistercian monks here planted vines in the slopes on the northern bank of the Rhine. With a keen sense that vineyards were already selected at that time, which can be challenging Rheingau wines thrive.
